WHAT IS VOLUNTARY COUNSELLING AND TESTING (VCT)?
Voluntary HIV counseling and testing is an activity which gives the client an opportunity to confidentially discuss their HIV risks and consent to be tested to determine their HIV status.
WHY SHOULD A PERSON UNDERGO VCT?
PROCEDURAL INFORMATION:
Developing the ability to make realistic decisions.
Changing behavior to produce desirable consequences
Providing information about HIV and AIDS.
To provide the results of the test.
To offer support
To discuss management of the individuals status.

Any sexually active person who is unaware of their HIV status.
Any person who has participated in risky sexual behavior.
